Overview of project

Description

Alinland is an e-commerce platform. Our team was responsible for designing a user-friendly website and a progressive web app (PWA) to enhance the shopping experience for our users. Throughout the project, I contributed to the creation of intuitive interfaces, seamless navigation, and engaging visual designs to optimize the overall user experience. Our goal was to combine functionality with aesthetics, ensuring that Alinland’s customers could easily browse, select, and purchase products.

Problem statements

  • Alinland’s existing website lacked intuitive navigation and responsive design, leading to a suboptimal user experience and limited cross-device accessibility.
  • The absence of a PWA for Alinland hindered customer engagement and retention, as users faced inconvenience and performance issues when attempting to shop on their mobile devices.
  • Customers had trouble finding the products they wanted on Alinland’s website. The search and filters didn’t work well, making it hard for people to narrow down their choices. This made shopping more difficult and could have led to fewer sales for the company.
  • The old website had a confusing checkout process, so many people left without buying anything. We fixed this in the redesigned website.

What we did

  • We designed a Progressive Web App (PWA) to provide a seamless, app-like experience for users across various devices and platforms, enabling them to access the e-commerce platform with enhanced performance and offline capabilities.
  • We enhanced the checkout process to facilitate smoother transactions for customers, and we also optimized the search and filter functions to simplify the product discovery process for users.
  • Improving the design of the filters allowed the user to easily find the desired product on the site. This possibility made it possible for the user to have a better shopping experience by reducing the amount of searching on the site
  • “We incorporated a convenient time slot selection feature into the user’s checkout journey, empowering them to schedule their shipment delivery at a suitable time, thereby enhancing their overall shopping experience.”
  • To further elevate the user experience, we implemented an order tracking feature in the user’s profile, providing complete visibility into the status of her order after it has been placed, ensuring she remains informed throughout the process.”

Achievements
